David Sinclair Trio was convened on New Year's Eve 5 years' ago. The band, songwriter David Sinclair (vocals/guitar), George Andrew (bass/bvs) and Drew Farmer (drums) started writing songs, recording - Hey, their debut album was released on Critical Discs/Proper in 2006, and notching up the gigs.
Many gigs later, in London, the South-East and the Home Counties, their second album Threewheeling was released on Critical Discs in 2008. Drew left the band at the beginning of 2009 and was replaced in the hot seat by Jack Sinclair. A tour of Yorkshire, IPO in Liverpool, more gigs in London, including their annual gig at Wilton's Music Hall, and their final Christmas gig at The Boom Boom Club in Surrey brought their 2009 journey to a celebratory close. A year of gigs and recording and finally our 3rd album TAKE ME THERE is being released on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and all other sites. Guest artists and producers include Richard J. Parfitt of Duffy fame and 2 legends - Paul Jones on harmonica and Robin Trower on guitar. We had a great day playing Latitude Festival and catching up with the wonderful Seasick Steve. Our next gig is on 27 August at Rhythm Festival in Beds. Headlining on the day is the fabulous Imelda May.
